These terms govern your use of the Ad Sensei browser extension and the Ad Sensei website and services operated by Single Fin Media ("we", "us"). By installing or using Ad Sensei you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't install or use it.
Ad Sensei is a free browser extension that blocks ads and trackers across the web and skips in-video ads and detected sponsor segments on YouTube. There is no account, no subscription, and no fee. The extension's source code is available under the MIT License at github.com/naho4212/skip-sensei; that license governs the code itself.
You may use Ad Sensei only with a browser and profile you control, and in compliance with applicable law. You must not use the extension, the website, or our update and feedback endpoints to probe, disrupt, or send falsified or automated traffic.
Optional features rely on services that have their own terms and policies, which apply to your use of them: the AI provider you configure (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, OpenRouter, or your own local endpoint), and SponsorBlock's community segment database. Ad Sensei changes how third-party websites are displayed in your browser; those websites' own terms govern your relationship with them, and you are responsible for how you use the extension with them. Ad Sensei is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, or any website it operates on.
What data the extension processes — and the little that can leave your browser — is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
The extension may download updated filter data and may be updated through your browser's extension store. We may add, change, or remove features, or discontinue the services (update, diagnostics, and feedback endpoints) at any time. We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Ad Sensei is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind — express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that every ad will be blocked or skipped, that detection is error-free (an element may occasionally be hidden or a segment skipped in error), or that the extension will work with every website or future browser version.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Ad Sensei. Our total liability for any claim relating to the extension or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for it — which is zero.
You can stop using Ad Sensei at any time by uninstalling it, which removes all locally stored data. We may suspend or discontinue the services, or refuse service to anyone violating section 2, at any time.
